DCI has been founded by a group of diabetic cat owners based in Europe, and North and South America, who have helped both their own diabetic cats and others to at least better health if not a diet-regulated diabetic remission where insulin is no longer needed, by using a cutting-edge protocol originally developed by a leading veterinarian.
We offer help and step-by-step guidance in caring for a cat with feline diabetes, as well as information on other diseases and conditions that may be affecting your cat.
The protocol we practise has helped hundreds of cats, regulating their glucose levels and in many cases has brought them into a diet-controlled state and off insulin altogether. While our forum is new, we have up to five years’ experience using the protocol to help people in their fight against Feline Diabetes. Members have personally used and helped people with all main insulin types, including, amongst others, Lantus (glargine), Levemir (detemir), Bovine Protamine Zinc insulins (Hypurin, US or Canadian compounded bovine PZIs), ProZinc, Caninsulin/Vetsulin, and NPH / Humulin.
The language used on forum is English, but we include speakers of a number of different languages who are ready to help should communication be difficult at times!
We provide a warm and caring environment and will do everything we can to support you. Like you, we have all faced hearing that our cat is suffering from Feline Diabetes. We know and understand how you feel.
